When in Balanga Market, shoppers should include smoked fish in their haul. The market sells a variety of dried and smoked fish like tilapia and tunsoy wrapped in brown paper, ready to be brought home and consumed with a pile of hot rice and fried egg for breakfast or any time of the day.

Balanga Wetland Park is considered a natural outdoor museum and haven for birdwatchers. The sanctuary has several viewing decks where visitors can observe the birds from a safe distance. Every year, the park hosts an Ibong Dayo Festival which is dedicated to the appreciation of migratory birds in the area.

Dicasalarin Cove offers a quieter corner away from the busier beaches of Baler. Owned by the Angara family, the cove features pristine blue waters and light-colored sand. It also offers access to the Baler Lighthouse which overlooks Dicasalarin Point.
