Mile-Long Barracks Review
The Mile-Long Barracks in Corregidor Island are said to be the world’s longest military barracks. Despite not actually measuring a mile long, it gets its name from how the soldiers are said to have walked the entire length of the structure from the third floor down, covering a total of a mile. The skeleton of the 3-storey structure is still visible today.

Malinta Tunnel Review
The Malinta Tunnel system is a complex structure built by the United States Army Corps of Engineers as a bomb-proof storage and personnel bunker in Corregidor Island. The main tunnel runs east to west, with 13 tunnels branching off on the north side and 11 more on the south side. It was later used as a hospital which was said to have been able to accommocate as many as 1,000 beds at a time.
