Description

The bustling province of Surigao del Norte is perhaps most known for its dreamy white sand beaches, best encapsulated by Siargao Island. Dubbed as the fruit basket of Mindanao, the province of Cotabato (formerly known as North Cotabato) is a landlocked province marked by vast plains, rolling terrains, and the Philippines' highest peak: Mt. Its name was derived from the Maguindanaoan term “Kuta Wato”, or “Stone Fort”, which pertains to the province's lineage of resistance from foreign forces.
